Verified users can create Collaboration Projects on EyeCandyVids. These projects allow a team of verified users to raise funding for any project, deliver a post containing a video, image, ebook, audio file, or even just text, and share the revenue!

1. Setting Up a Crowdfunding Project

To start a Collaboration Project, the Project Lead (the user initiating the project) defines a crowdfunding goal and deadline.

Assigning Cast Members

The Project Lead must assign cast members to the project. Cast members can include:

• Verified creators on EyeCandyVids who, once assigned, receive immediate notifications (email and push/web) about the project’s deadline, title, and goal.
• External cast members who aren’t yet on EyeCandyVids. If the Project Lead provides an email address for an external cast member, they’ll be notified when the project reaches its goal, allowing them to sign up on EyeCandyVids, claim their seat, and await approval from the Project Lead.

2. Revenue Sharing

When creating the project, the project creator can set the percentage of raised funds each creator will receive, as well as the percentage of sales revenue generated from the submitted post at the end of the project.

3. Stages of Collaboration Projects

EyeCandyVids has a structured flow of stages to ensure that projects progress based on funding and cast member engagement. Here are the main stages and their corresponding criteria:

Crowdfunding Stage

• Active crowdfunding until the deadline.
• If the project hits its goal before the deadline, the project stays in this stage until the deadline is reached.

Awaiting Cast Acceptance

• If the project reaches its goal but not all cast members have accepted the project, it moves into this stage.
• All cast members must accept the project for it to advance to the next stage.

Pending Settlement

• If the project doesn’t reach its goal by the deadline but all cast members have accepted to participate in the collaboration, it enters this stage.
• Cast members must all agree to Settle to the raised amount.
• No more pledges can be made at this point.
• If any cast member selects Reject instead of Settle, the project moves to the Closed stage. If all select Settle, it progresses to Awaiting Results.

Awaiting Results

• If the project meets its goal and all cast members have accepted, it enters the Awaiting Results stage, which is the execution phase.
• EyeCandyVids withdraws the funds from backers at this stage and instantly deposits them into the creators’ balance.

Completed Stage

• This stage is reached when ANY member of the team has submitted a post on the collaboration project.
• The post can include anything—a video, an image, or any other media—and can be free or sold. Backers will be able to see the post for free.
• The submitted post will show up on all members' profile pages and give credits to the entire team.

Closed Stage

• A project closes if it fails to meet its goal and not all cast members have accepted, or if any cast member chooses to reject it at any stage requiring group acceptance.
• Closed projects no longer accept contributions or pledges, ensuring clear expectations for all involved.

4. Notifying Cast Members: Keeping Everyone in Sync

EyeCandyVids ensures that all cast members, including external ones with provided email addresses, stay informed at each critical project stage. Cast members receive notifications as the project progresses through key stages like Awaiting Cast Acceptance, Pending Settlement, and Awaiting Results.
